Traveling with a Laptop

Traveling with a laptop isn’t the easiest thing to do,
but offers great benefits to professional writers and those who work on the
go.  In some places in the world, getting your laptop online cheaply and
safely is not so easy.  Here are some places that should help.

Nepal

Kathmandu and Pokhara have lots of cheap, reasonable
speed, internet access places.  USB sockets are available on most computers. 

WiFi and laptop stations in Nepal

• Kathmandu
  • New Orleans Cafe – free WiFi access (power sockets available), nice setting,
    good food and drink, a little more expensive than most places.

  • Net C@fe – near the Hotel Red Plantet has a wired laptop station.
  • Roadhouse Cafe – free WiFi from 12:00 – 17:00, a nice resturant, the pizzas
    are great.

  • Bodnath Stupa – a saw a ‘WiFi
    here’ sign outside a cafe inside the stupa’s walls.  What a great place to write!

  • MoonDance resturant – WiFi is
    available but it’s the same price as at an internet cafe.
