An old and miserable airport.  Money changers are available before checkin.  Only a very simply snack stand in the departure lounge.  Taxis costs INR500 from the city.

Kathmandu

A nice little airport with a few shops and snack bars before checkin.  Little snack bars in the departure lounge.  Taxis cost INR300 from the city.

Kingfisher have domestic flights to Mumbai.

Kerala

Kochi International Airport

A modern aiport 30kms from Ernakulam.  Taxis cost INR650 (INR750 at night) take 1.5 hours.  There are several money changes before checkin.  In the departure lounge there is a duty free (international currency only) and a nice little snack shop (India ruppees only).

Tiger Airways fly to Singapore.

Silkair fly to Singpore.

Indonesia

Bali (Denpasar)

A cheerful little airport.  Pre-paid taxis cost IRP45,000 to Kuta.  From Kuta a metered taxi costs IRP27,000.

Java

Jakarta International Airport

An efficient and modern airport.  Taxis cost IRP100,000 from the city centre.

Singapore

A big and ultra-modern airport with 4 terminals including the new Budget Terminal (BT).  Every service possible in the departure lounge, but expensive.  Final security checks are at the gate, so get there early.
